Linkin Park's Evolving Journey Post-Chester Bennington
In the aftermath of Chester Bennington's tragic death in 2017, Linkin Park made the difficult decision to exclude certain emotional songs from their performances. The band, which experienced immense success with hits like "Numb" and "In The End," went on an indefinite hiatus but reformed last year with a new lead vocalist, Emily Armstrong, and drummer Colin Brittain. Currently on their From Zero world tour, the band aims to create a positive atmosphere for their audience. Mike Shinoda, one of the founding members, expressed that certain songs, particularly "One More Light," evoke painful memories and are therefore omitted from their setlist. He explained that the song, initially written in memory of a colleague, has taken on a deeper significance following Bennington's passing. Since their return, Linkin Park has been touring globally, with upcoming performances in major cities across the United States and South America, as well as European countries, marking a new chapter in their musical journey while honoring their late frontman.
